Federal Government Reference Pages
ecoTECHNOLOGY for Vehicles Program – This program by Transport Canada tests the safety, environmental impact and driving performance of new technologies for passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks.
Energy Innovation Program – On-road Transportation Decarbonization – This program will help decarbonize the transportation sector by funding research, development, and demonstration projects.
Green Freight Program – Federal funding incentives towards fleet energy assessments and eligible truck and trailer retrofits.
Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative – Background on the ZEVAI program by NRCan (Natural Resources Canada).
Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program – provides funding towards the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) chargers and hydrogen refueling stations across Canada.
Zero-Emission Vehicles Landing Page – The Federal Government’s landing page for zero-emission vehicle information in transportation and infrastructure. Includes tools like an EV charger and hydrogen refueling station locator.
Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator | Natural Resources Canada (nrcan.gc.ca): The GHG equivalencies calculator can help translate abstract measurements and emissions data into concrete terms, such as the annual emissions from cars or households.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Model: The Government of Canada’s Fuel Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Model is a tool to calculate the life cycle carbon intensity of fuels and energy sources used/produced in Canada. The Model helps to support the delivery of regulations and programs as part of Canada’s actions on climate change
Electric Charging and Alternative Fuelling Stations Locator (canada.ca): This map shows alternative fuel stations where you can recharge or refuel in Canada.

Low Carbon Energy Project – Hydrogen Blending at TOC | Enbridge Gas: Enbridge Gas is proposing to construct new pipelines and associated facilities in Markham, Ontario. The objective of the project is to blend a small amount of hydrogen gas into our existing natural gas network, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
