Actions and Checklists
Material Exchange
Partners in Project Green’s Material Exchange program helps organizations divert waste from landfill by connecting PPG Members with local non-profits or community groups who can reuse, repurpose, or recycle surplus materials. Through this facilitated matchmaking process, businesses submit materials they wish to offer, and PPG staff identify potential receivers, support introductions, and help coordinate successful exchanges. Since 2013, the program has diverted more than 18,000 tonnes of material and generated over $4 million in value for community organizations, demonstrating how simple, collaborative exchanges can advance a circular economy across the region.
