Subject: Upcoming Lunch & Learn – Supporting a Circular Economy: Rethinking Textile Waste

Hi team,

You’re invited to an upcoming Lunch & Learn hosted by Partners in Project Green – Supporting a Circular Economy: Rethinking Textile Waste, taking place on November 25 from 1-2pm.

Supporting a Circular Economy: Rethinking Textile Waste will explore the latest trends in textile waste diversion and celebrate the success of the Recycling Collection Drive, PPG’s annual employee engagement program which diverts textile and e-waste from landfill in partnership with Diabetes Canada and the Electronic Recycling Association.

During the session you’ll hear from PPG Member mpolo designs inc.‘s Narishdath Maraj, who will explore practical and creative approaches to rethinking textile waste within organizations. The presentation will examine strategies ranging from extending the life of branded uniforms through reuse, debranding and upcycling, to creating new diversion opportunities through designers, material experimentation, art and community engagement.
