Following a very successful Circular Procurement Essentials workshop in November 2023, the members of the Circular Economy Leaders Consortium (CEC) are invited to participate in a two-part workshop series on Circular Procurement- Advanced and Category Specific. These workshops will work together to support learners along a process of building knowledge and skills to increase understanding of circular procurement, inspire and motivate teams to take action, identify actionable steps, and put theory into practice.
The Advanced Workshop will be held on May 8th as the first of the two-part series to build on the core concepts to enable circular procurement- circular business models and the seven steps to circular procurement.
This virtual workshop will focus on practical insights into:
- Overcoming internal barriers and
- Building capacity to identify and develop key questions and criteria to drive circular outcomes, including key performance indicators and metrics.
The second part of the series, the Category Specific workshop, will be held in June and will dive deep into one to two categories chosen by the participants (e.g., IT, Facility Management, Food and Catering), including identifying several potential circular outcomes for the selected category, and whether more than one business model can be leveraged to achieve the outcomes. Participants will develop detailed criteria and performance metrics supporting their preferred outcomes. The goal is for participants to have sufficient information to pilot a vendor engagement process for market feedback on supplier comprehension and readiness to respond to proposed circular outcomes, criteria, and metrics.
