Clean Up at Toronto’s Taylor Creek

PPG Members Helped Fill 50 Trash Bags of Litter!

On Sunday, June 11, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority’s (TRCA) Partners in Project Green (PPG) Members met at Taylor Creek in East York to participate in a community clean up event in collaboration with Don’t Mess with the Don, University of Toronto Trash Team, PortsToronto, and Swim Drink Fish. PPG members helped fill 50 trash bags full of litter that was found along the creek, working to improve water quality by preventing it from traveling to the Don River, into Lake Ontario, and to our oceans via the St. Lawrence River. They also helped to improve natural habitat for frogs, salamanders, and other small critters. Although the day began with rain, spirits were high as over 70 volunteers came out to give back to their community.

Thank You to Our Members

PPG Members CD Sonter, Viking Recycling, and Infinitive Tools came out to enjoy the outdoors and clean up our watershed!
