The Energy Leaders Consortium members are invited to a special workshop on Climate Risk and Resilience: Navigating Future Uncertainty, led by Risk Thinking AI. This workshop will be hosted at the City Hall in Toronto, on February 21st, 2025. We will be joined by the City representatives, who will be sharing an overview of their climate resilience work.
This workshop will cover the following themes:
- Climate Change Risks and Risk Assessments
- Interpreting Climate Change Risk Data
- Making Decisions based on Climate Risk Assessments
The participants will have the opportunity to review case studies of different sectors and organizations navigating climate change risks. Risk Thinking AI will also be sharing insights on their cutting-edge AI tool for risk management.
After the presentations, there will be some time for Q/A and networking.

Alex Kalopsis
Project Manager, Public Energy Initiatives – Existing Buildings Programs,
Environment, Climate and Forestry Division, City of Toronto
Alex is a Project Manager in the Environment, Climate & Forestry division at the City of Toronto. He focuses on the delivery of existing buildings programs, mainly in the commercial sector, and his primary role is managing the City’s Deep Retrofit Challenge. Alex is a professional engineer with a background in engineering consulting and building sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western University, as well as several post-graduate certificates in energy engineering and building systems.

Dr. Ron Dembo
CEO & Founder, riskthinking.AI
Dr. Ron Dembo is renowned in the fields of mathematical algorithms and finance and is a leading authority on financial risk management. His distinguished career spans significant contributions to both sectors, with a strong focus on the intersection of finance and climate change. Eitan Levitt
Chief Product Officer, riskthinking.AI
Eitan is the Chief Product Officer at Riskthinking.AI, where he supports the company to determine product strategy and execute product development, marketing, and delivery. Before joining Riskthinking.AI, Eitan was a management consultant and economist at Deloitte, where he generated analysis and recommendations for key decision makers including the Prime Minister of Canada, the United States Secretary of the Treasury, and CEOs of several Fortune 500 Companies. Additionally, Eitan was the Chief of Staff to the ESG Leader of Deloitte Global Financial Advisory. Eitan holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance.

Balsher Singh Sidhu
Senior Climate Researcher, riskthinking.AI
Dr. Balsher Singh Sidhu is a Senior Climate Researcher at Riskthinking.AI, developing innovative climate risk analytics for global decision-making. He is also an adjunct professor at UBC Vancouver’s Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability. Balsher leverages advanced statistical and machine learning techniques on large spatio-temporal datasets to tackle environmental challenges.
