The Circular Economy Leaders Consortium (CEC) members are invited to join Partners in Project Green on October 23, 2025 for a tour of TELUS and Menkes Developments. The day will begin with a presentation from TELUS on the results of the Quantification Project- a one year study that quantified the carbon and waste impacts of several products and services. The group will then be taken on a tour of the building. Such features of the tour will include:
- Oscar Sort Smart Recycling Assistant
- The Reconciliation Floor
- Under Floor Air Distribution (UFAD) system
- 2024 LED lighting retrofit and occupancy sensors
- 18 Electric Vehicle charging stations and 300+ Bicycle Parking spots
- Water cistern for non-potable uses (toilets, urinals, and irrigation)
- Peak Demand Curtailment for electricity and district energy
- Green building certifications (LEED, BOMA BEST, Fitwel)
- Fault Detection Diagnostics system
- Waste and recycling initiatives, including tenant engagement and utility tracking

Catherine Leighton, Senior Strategy Manager, Circular Economy, Sustainability and Environment, TELUS
Catherine Leighton is the Senior Strategy Manager, Environment at TELUS. For over fifteen years, Catherine has specialized in sustainability, behavior change, and circular economy. She serves on the National Zero Waste Council Management Board and has worked at Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and Circular Innovation Council. Catherine holds a Masters in Environment and Resource Studies from the University of Waterloo.

Clarke Stewart, Director, Sustainability, Menkes Property Management Services Ltd.
Clarke Stewart is the Director of Sustainability at Menkes Property Management Services Ltd., where he oversees the utility performance strategy across the portfolio. With over 10 years of experience in real estate sustainability and operations, Clarke drives initiatives in energy, water and carbon reduction, circular waste, green building certifications, and stakeholder engagement.
