From Lower Wattage to Intelligent Control
LED 1.0 made lighting more efficient by reducing fixture wattage. LED 2.0 takes the next step by integrating occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting and connected controls that adjust lighting according to actual conditions. This presentation explores how intelligent lighting can reduce unnecessary energy use, improve building performance and generate measurable savings. EcoBright will also share research insights and a pilot-first approach for helping organizations move from efficient fixtures to responsive, intelligent lighting systems.

Obehi Agboneni is an Energy Solutions Consultant with EcoBright Energy, helping organizations reduce energy use, lower operating costs and improve facility performance.
His work focuses on the transition from LED 1.0 lower-wattage lighting to LED 2.0, which combines efficient lighting with occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting and intelligent controls. Through facility assessments, savings analysis and financial planning, Obehi helps organizations turn energy opportunities into practical, approval-ready projects.
He has supported more than 100 organizations across Ontario, including schools, housing providers, healthcare facilities, community groups, warehouses and commercial properties, with lighting-modernization projects achieving approximately 50–70% energy savings.
