On July 17, Unity Health Toronto will share stories with the Circular Economy Leaders Consortium about their sustainability journey to date. This will include where they started, where they are now, insights for those looking to adopt a similar plan, and key learnings. Key topics include building a strategic plan, team structure and integration, establishing a GHG emissions roadmap, setting targets, and considering how to tackle Scope 3 emissions.

Katelyn Poyntz, Director, Project Engineering & Energy Engineering and Plant Services, Unity Health Toronto
Katelyn is the Director of the Project Engineering & Energy team at Unity Health Toronto. Katelyn started the energy team at Unity Health Toronto in 2019 – winning the 2021 (Save on Energy) Energy Manager of the Year Award. She is currently developing and building the Sustainability Strategy and developing the GHG Emissions Roadmap with a reduction target of 50% for Scope 1 and 2 emissions for Unity Health which is both challenging and rewarding work. Katelyn has an undergrad in Systems Design Engineering with an Option in Cognitive Science
