Partners in Project Green’s Annual Forum is a yearly opportunity for our members and community to come together to learn from fellow practitioners, hear from inspiring keynote speakers and to network with like-minded peers working to advance social and environmental sustainability initiatives.
This year, our conference theme is Stories that Matter: Building Buy-in for a Sustainable Future. Throughout the day, we will hear from keynote speakers, engage in panels with industry experts, explore Centennial College’s sustainability building features and participate in a hands-on storytelling workshop designed to equip attendees with new frameworks to guide their businesses’ impact narratives.

Michelle Brown (she/her)

Michelle Brown is an accomplished leader with an impressive tenure of over 23 years at BGO. In her role as Managing Director, Head of BGO Properties, she expertly oversees the property management and leasing of all BGO Properties asset types throughout Canada.
Before BGO, Michelle built a solid foundation in property management gaining valuable experience with various firms such as TrizecHahn and Nexacor Realty Management.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Michelle is actively involved in various initiatives that demonstrate her commitment to community and professional growth. She is a key member of the EDI Executive Council, serves as the Global Lead for the BGO Women’s Network, and co-chairs Partners in Project Green—an internationally recognized coalition focused on driving environmental action and fostering economic prosperity in the Greater Toronto Area.
She graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto, earning an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, and holds several professional designations, including LEED Green Associate, Certified Property Manager (REIC), and RPA (BOMI), further highlighting her dedication to excellence.

for developing strong collaborations to solve complex
challenges, Chris has had diverse leadership roles in
economic development, arts and culture, stakeholder and
government relations, and environmental sustainability.
These distinct experiences have shaped his unique
perspective and approach to problem-solving. During the pandemic, Chris was recognized as one of Toronto Life’s Most Influential Torontonians for his work in saving and revitalizing Canada’s main streets, having
developed and delivered impactful programs such as Digital
Main Street and My Main Street.
Driven by a deep commitment to positively impacting the
places we live, work, and play, Chris’s passion for urban
planning, economic development, and community-building
has translated into contributions to creating thriving and
sustainable communities across Canada.
As the Executive Director of Stakeholder Relations and Communications at Toronto Pearson, he leads a dedicated team that fosters collaboration among partners and stakeholders to maximize

Neil Ever Osborne’s interdisciplinary projects are a testament to the precarious relationship between people and the planet. More specifically, his work examines the converging social and environmental issues that narrate our times in a changing — and warming — world.
In this pursuit, he focuses on humanity’s enduring spirit and nature’s resiliency.
Osborne is an Explorer with the National Geographic Society, a Contributing Photographer with Smithsonian Magazine, and an Assistant Professor at the Trent University School of the Environment. He also holds long-standing Fellowships with the International League of Conservation Photographers, The Explorer’s Club, and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. He is also the Founder of the environmental communications agency Evermaven.

Brent Carey, ABC, MC is an award-winning communications executive and corporate storyteller who has been helping organizations connect with their stakeholders and achieve business goals for more than 30 years. He has practiced the complete range of communications disciplines, including internal communication and employee engagement, issues and reputation management, media relations/PR, marketing communication and government relations.
Brent is currently Vice President, Communications, at Mattamy Asset Management (the parent company of Mattamy Homes), based in Toronto, where he leads the corporate communications function and a small, impactful team that provides strategic planning and execution across Mattamy’s operations in Canada and the US. Brent has also held communication leadership roles with KPMG International, Deloitte Canada, CIBC, TD Bank and Imperial Oil.
In 2004 he earned the designation of Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) from the International Association of Business Communicators and in 2024 was recognized with the prestigious IABC Canada Master Communicator Award, an accolade bestowed upon select professionals who have demonstrated exemplary contributions to the field of communication. Brent graduated from York University with a double honours degree in Communications and English.

Lisa Vanlint (she/her)

Lisa Vanlint is the Manager of Environmental Sustainability in the Energy and Environment team within FM-PRO at UHN. Lisa started at UHN in 2011 as Energy Steward and previously coordinated the greening initiative at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health. With a background in communications and project management from University of Toronto and TMU, Lisa leads on employee engagement, behavior change and environmental compliance in varied areas of sustainability including energy conservation, waste reduction, toxics, transportation and procurement. Through her work, UHN has achieved Canada’s Greenest Employer status from 2021 and onwards.

Todd Ernst (he/him)
Director, Energy and Environment, Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA)

Todd’s is responsible for the environment and climate change programs as well as operation and maintenance of the airport utilities and 117MW cogeneration facility. In his past role at the GTAA, Todd has also had responsibility for the maintenance of the airfield electrical systems and vehicle fleet.
Todd leads the GTAA’s effort to become net zero GHG by 2050. This includes adoption of clean energy sources ranging from renewable diesel, renewable natural gas, thermal heat pumps and low carbon hydrogen. The low carbon hydrogen strategy includes Ontario’s first 350 and 700 bar publicly accessible hydrogen fill station located at Toronto Pearson. The GTAA is also actively studying the potential for hydrogen flight, large-scale hydrogen supply and distribution as well as piloting on-the-ground applications for hydrogen where battery technology does not perform as well.
Prior to joining the GTAA Todd’s career has spanned roles in environment, energy and finance in both industry and consulting. This includes environmental process engineer with a large integrated pulp and paper facility, finance role in pharmaceutical and retail, internal audit, governance and sustainability reporting advisory work with Ernst & Young and leadership of the industrial energy conservation programs services at a boutique consulting firm, Clearesult.
Todd also serves as co-chair of the Executive Committee at Partners in Project Green, Canada’s largest eco-business zone.

Wesley Gee (he/him)

Combining academic expertise with extensive professional experience, Wesley leads Works Design’s sustainability practice. He provides guidance in stakeholder engagement, materiality, performance measurement and social purpose, as well as ESG/sustainability communications and reporting. Wesley contributed to the development of the GRI guidelines and served on sector working groups with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). He lectures for the Sustainability Diploma and MScSM program at the University of Toronto. Before joining Works Design, Wesley was a senior sustainability consultant at Stantec and senior advisor at Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR). He holds a Master’s in Sustainable Business from the University of Leeds.

Darryl Gray is the Director of Education and Training at TRCA leading a large and diverse team of highly skilled education, museum and sustainability professionals and practitioners working to build a vital, vibrant and sustainable Greater Toronto Area.
With over 25 years of experience, Darryl leads transformative multi-sectoral partnerships in the areas of education, cultural heritage and sustainability. These partnerships ensure that students and schools have equitable access to nature-based, out-of-classroom learning experiences; that industry professionals are equipped with the leading-edge research and training necessary to tackle complex challenges related to urban sustainability; and that a renewed vision for The Village at Black Creek is realized through community and institutional collaboration, including a modernized funding model.
Darryl provides senior leadership support to TRCA’s Natural Science and Education Committee and Partners in Project Green Executive Management Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University and a Diploma in Municipal Administration.
