On March 25, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, PPG’s Circular Economy Leaders Consortium and Energy Leaders Consortium members are invited to join a presentation by Environment and Climate Change Canada on the recent updates to the Federal Plastics Registry and Regulations.
The presentation will cover:
- Updates on the amendment to Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations
- Updates to the Federal Plastics Registry and feedback opportunities.
- Reporting data that is useful to members and identifying any gaps.
Speaker

George Kendros, Manager, Plastics Regulatory Affairs Division, Environment and Climate Change Canada
George’s team leads the development of the policy and the IM/IT system for the Federal Plastics Registry. He has been involved in several plastics initiatives at ECCC, including the development of the Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations. George’s first position in the federal public service at Health Canada, before joining ECCC where he first worked for the Chemicals Management Plan for 3 years before joining the plastics team. George holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario.
