On October 23rd, 2025, Partners in Project Green’s Circular Economy Leaders Consortium (CEC) was hosted by TELUS and Menkes. The group first heard a presentation showcasing Menke’s achievement of LEED Platinum certification and BOMA BEST for the building. TELUS proceeded to showcase their revolutionary Truth and Reconciliation Floor of the building and waste reduction initiatives.
The group also heard a presentation from TELUS on their recent Quantification project, aimed at communicating to stakeholders the impact of their phone purchasing choices (e.g., buying a new phone, buying a pre-owned phone, and recycling a phone).
Highlights of the Tour include:
- OSCAR Sort Smart Waste Sorting System
- Elements of the Reconciliation Floor
- Rooftop rainwater harvested in an underground cistern and used for grey water
