What is ClearESG?
ClearESG is a self-serve ESG compliance platform developed by MGI Canada for Canadian small and medium-sized businesses. It brings ESG data collection, management, and reporting together in one place. It also builds your staff’s knowledge of Canadian compliance requirements, so your business can manage ESG with little or no reliance on external consultants.
How does it work?
ClearESG guides your team through the full compliance journey in four simple steps.
1. Answer a guided questionnaire. Your team answers plain-language questions about your operations. The platform adapts the questions to your business, so staff only see what applies to your company.
2. Enter and manage your data. Staff enter data such as energy use, emissions, water consumption, and workforce information in structured, easy-to-follow sections. All data is stored in one place, which makes it easy to update, review, and reuse each year.
3. Check your compliance status. ClearESG maps your data against Canadian requirements, including the Supply Chains Act (Bill S-211), the Canadian Sustainability Disclosure Standards (CSDS), and the new PFAS restrictions. It shows where you meet the requirements and where you have gaps.
4. Generate your reports. The platform turns your data into clear ESG reports that you can share with customers, buyers, lenders, and regulators.
