On October 27th, 2026, from 10:00am to 11:30am EST, members of the Circular Economy Leaders Consortium and the Energy Leaders Consortium are invited to join a vendor engagement session on Lifecycle Analysis (LCA) tools featuring EcoChain, SimaPro, and the Municipal Solid Waste Decision Support Tool (MSW DST).
Members will have the opportunity to
- Learn about the LCA tools and their capabilities
- Participate in a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Calvin Lakhan, Director – Circular Innovation Hub, York University
- Ask questions and explore if these tools can benefit their organization.
Topics that’ll be explored in the panel discussion include clarifying staffing requirements to use the software, data applicability to a Canadian context, data collection and enterprise scalability, and cost.

Speakers
Artjom Janssen is an Account Executive at Ecochain who has spent the last five years immersed in Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Product and Corporate Carbon Footprints, and sustainable finance. His career path is unique: after spending two and a half years doing the heavy lifting as an LCA Specialist, and another two years managing Customer Support, he transitioned into a commercial role. Today, Artjom combines his deep technical knowledge with a genuine passion for understanding the unique sustainability hurdles each company faces, helping them find the right tools to measure and reduce their impact.
Keith A. Weitz is director of RTI International’s Sustainability and Resource Management Program and has 34 years of experience in solid waste management, life-cycle assessment, and sustainability assessment. He led work with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), North Carolina State University (NCSU) and others to develop the EPA’s municipal solid waste decision-support tool (MSW DST) and conducts analyses of cost and life-cycle environmental impacts of alternative solid waste management technologies and strategies. Mr. Weitz has applied the MSW DST in more than 100 applications for public, private, and international entities. Mr. Weitz holds a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University (1992) and a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Augustana College (1990).
Shoshana Dodge is a Sustainability Consultant at Long Trail Sustainability, a leading provider of North American life cycle assessment (LCA) consulting and software tools, across industry. With over 15 years of professional experience in sustainability, Shoshana has held previous roles tasked with greenhouse gas accounting at the university-level and has an MS in Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University. In her current role, she helps companies lower their environmental hotspots through in-depth LCA studies and carbon footprints and trains new LCA practitioners in-house.
