Celebrate this year’s Earth Day with PPG through a hands-on soap carving workshop led by Inuk artist, Barry Best. Through storytelling, carving, reflection, and an outdoor art walk, you will spend the morning exploring collaboration, mindfulness, and cultural appreciation in a supportive and engaging setting.

Artist: Barry Best

Barry is an Inuk Eco Artist based in Toronto. He is primarily focused on Indigenous based ideas and reusable resources. His sculpture, film, installation work and photography are deeply tied into nature and his Indigenous heritage.
Barry works as a Commercial Tourism Photographer, Videographer and Creative Director. As an innovative thinker, he constantly proposes unique ideas for showcasing all facets of tourism from museums to events and more.
Barry has been a Forester for 25 years and teaches workshops in land-based education. He is an Instructor at The Raise-an-Artist Project running workshops in Woodcarving and Indigenous Studies.
