On October 30th, the Energy Leaders Consortium will have the opportunity to visit the innovative SWITCH project at Humber College. With a goal to reach Net Zero emissions by 2050, Humber is in the process of retrofitting the heating and cooling system at their North Campus. We’re excited to hear from technology experts and witness this project in action!
SWITCH aims to reduce reliance on natural gas by eliminating the current steam-based system and transitioning to a modern hot water system using electricity. It is expected to cut natural gas use by 70% and lead to significant reductions in GHG emissions.
After a round of presentations and discussions, the group will go for a guided tour of the facility. The event will conclude with some time for networking. More details on the presentations and the tour to follow!
This event is for Energy Leaders Consortium members only. For more information about the Energy Leaders Consortium or to learn how you can join, please contact Matt Brunette: matt.brunette@trca.ca
